Well, I have been walking on the treadmill about every other day for a week or so and my knee has been feeling good. This was the week that I was going to start adding more to my routine. Then, as I was walking down the stairs, I felt a sharp pain down the left side of my kneecap and the pain continued down my leg to my ankle. Seriously, I am the the only person on the planet that manages to hurt themselves doing the simplest things. I sat on the stairs because I thought I might do some damage walking on it. Then I wondered how much good I was really doing myself by sitting on the stairs like an idiot. I managed to get to the couch and elevated and iced the knee.
I find it hard to believe that my blazing fast 3 mph for 30 minutes on the Treadmill is too much for my knee to handle. 30 minutes @ 3 mph, that is like sweating off a saltine, but I do it! Slow and steady wins the race or some stupid crap everybody keeps telling me about not pushing my knee too far since I don't have insurance, but really 3 mph for 30 minutes...
So, leg exercises are pretty out of the question for awhile. I am not even sure if I want to try the chair Yoga until I know more about what is going on with my knee. But I suppose I could start doing some arm and core work...Trying to figure out some new goals so I can reset my countdown. More to come unless my leg falls off tomorrow.
