Today was my extended family Christmas party. I don't know what I was thinking when I planned my Spike day during the week. Yes, it was practical for me, but for some reason my brain fell out of my head since 90% of special occasions happen on the weekends. So I was a having a bit of a freak out, I was mentally overthinking the whole thing. When I am on my meal plan I try to be perfect, so much so that I end up have an unintentional Spike week once I fall off the wagon.
Something Russ said to me when we met up really struck a chord. I need to find a meal plan that I can do for the rest of my life. I never really thought of it that way. I always start a diet or meal plan to lose weight but once you get there, what do you do? My meal plan with Thia was great All Natural would be ideal, but to be honest it was not realistic for me. I love McDonald's Cheeseburgers, and DQ Banana Split Blizzards and Pizza, I really love pizza too. You can't replace it, sometimes you just gotta have it. But not yet, I already had my Spike Day for the week.
I decided to show up to the party late. It was at a bowling alley so I figured everyone would eat when they got there and then start bowling. I ate until I was a little overly full and headed out. I am always late anyway, so I doubt anyone noticed but I really need to plan these things better. I need to find a happy medium between perfectionist and lazy ass. I can only seem to go from one extreme to another.
