Day 15 - Fit Test

So today was D-Day as far as weighing in and as far as seeing if I improved over the eighty times I started Insanity but never managed to make it past the Fit Test. I am happy to report that I had a drastic improvement on almost everything. The sad part is my improvement is still miles away from what the ever perky Tonya and Chris did their first time. But I am hoping that the next Fit Test will be even better. At least I know that I am truly improving. The only exercise I cannot even test on is the Push-up Jacks, since I have zero upper body strength. I think, for me, I am going to be doing the plank and knee push-ups and hope to be able to do a regular push-up by the end of this program. You can't win 'em all and, to be honest, I am not even trying. I am just hoping for progress and that is what I am getting.

On the other side of the health battle, I weighed and measured myself again today. I am down exactly 1lb. I don't even think I am down that pound, but I will take it. I am not too surprised, because my eating has been a lot of the junk food. But a little surprised because I cut back on what I had been eating previously and have been working out so I should be at least doing better than before. But whatever, it has been two weeks, I am not hoping for miracles here. The measurements were not much better, I stayed the same on everything, but found a .5 inch drop in my...wait for it...calf. Yeah, that's right, in my super sexy calf. I mean, that is where most people are hoping to see some loss, right? Oh well, a loss anywhere is much needed for my body so I am going to take this whole thing as a win! I am going to weigh and measure weekly from here on out, so I am hoping I can at least be down a pound a week, but until I get on a better meal plan, I will be happy to maintain and not gain. Week 3 has officially begun! Woot!
