Today was pretty badass for me. I was up and ready to go this morning and had one of the best workouts. I might look like a hot mess and I might not get everything perfect, but I am pretty happy today. I made it through more of this video than I usually do, less breaks and more gasping for air and burning muscles. I think I am starting to enjoy my workouts again. Wait, what?
I breezed, well maybe not breezed, but the first circuit today went really well. I busted through all three rounds with minimal breaks compared to previous attempts. The second group is brutal for me every time, but today went better. I cannot really do the Level 1 Drill because I can't do a push-up to save my life. But in every video when they go to push-ups, I always try. I don't know why I think that my arm strength will improve that dramatically over the course of a day. However, I am able to go down further in my push-up before I collapse on the floor. So I go down and kick out and then plant my knees to do my junior high push-ups and then back to plank to run it out. It takes more time, but even if it is from the knees, those push-ups are killing me. While it might be meager, I added one more Ski Ab and In and Out today, plus managed to bust out all three rounds with them.
It is tough and that is all I have to say about it. But today was a great day! My friend says it takes 21 days to make something a habit, so I am not too far away from that. I am in better spirits about this whole working out thing and morning workouts really set me for the day.
