Day 17 - My Forearms are Sweating

First thing first, the first video. I made it through Power Cardio, except of course the ever present and difficult Level 2 drills. I lose my breath more quickly trying to do push-ups from my knees more often than any of the leg work. Don't hold your breath that I will be breaking out into a real push-up any time soon.

I think one of the reasons I like Insanity so much is that by the time you get through the damn warm-up and stretch there is usually 20 minutes or less left to do the actual workout. For this particular video, I really like it because once you get to the workout, it is 14 minutes. No repeating exercises, just busting your ass for 14 minutes. I love it. However, I hate that I have to add Cardio Abs in for another 15 minutes. I know I said it before, but I hate, hate, hate that I have to warm-up to do Cardio Abs. You never do this video by itself so I don't understand how my core was not sufficiently warmed up during the previous 38 minutes of exercise.

Cardio Abs would be wonderful if I could find my Abs somewhere under the layers upon layers of fat. I could barely hold the C-Sit today and any of the leg raises in conjunction with the C-Sit, were not happening easily today. I was a happy camper when we moved to plank until I almost did a face plant when I went into low plank. Apparently, my forearms were sweaty. What? I don't think I even knew your forearms could sweat, as it has never happened to me before. The glistening awesomeness on my arms made it virtually impossible to do the low plank on my mat so I had to move the carpet and that was great. Rug burns and all. I almost forgot the Missionary Push Plank move until he started doing it and I might just not do this one because of the sheer ridiculous nature of it. Seriously, wtf Seat T.,wtf?

I have made a concise effort to start cutting back on my food, but I don't think I will start officially until the Recovery Week or the beginning of Month 2. But I am going to just play it by ear and start eating some more veggies and less dessert. But for now, I am opting to go get a brownie!
